What is an eSIM?

An eSIM (embedded SIM) is an electronic SIM card that is installed directly in the smartphone. Unlike conventional SIM cards, the eSIM allows you to switch between different tariffs quickly and easily without having to replace a physical card.

Does my device support eSIM?

In the meantime, many devices have an eSIM function. From the manufacturer Apple, all iPhones from iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR are eSIM-capable. Samsung has been equipping its Galaxy S series with eSIMs since the S20 generation. Newer OPPO flagships, such as the Find X3 Pro, Find X5 or the Reno 6, also have an eSIM. Can I also use eSIM abroad?

In principle, you can use eSIM anywhere. But make sure you have a subscription that suits your use to avoid high costs.

Can I use eSIM with TalkTalk prepaid?

eSIM is available for all our tariffs, including prepaid.

Are TalkTalk subscriptions also available for the eSIM of my smartwatch?

At the moment, it is not possible to use TalkTalk subscriptions in combination with smartwatches, but we are working on a solution.

What if I lose my mobile phone with the built-in eSIM?
